"This print was inspired byThe Bush Banana, an important Aboriginal food, long gathered and shared across Country. Every part of the plant is used. The sweet flower and young fruit are eaten raw and are the most favoured, while the young seeds taste like a crunchy, sweet pea. As the pods mature, the seeds become bitter and are set aside, leaving the thick outer rind to be eaten. A story of knowledge, care, and respect for what Country provides."
